Cousins are great
We took Acacia over to her aunt's house last night where she got to visit with her cousins Aliyah and Shayel. Her cousins love her and love being around her. Acacia and her youngest cousin Aliyah (almost 2 yrs. old) sat and petted each other, it was very cute! I think she is going to have alot of fun with them in the future :)

Tongue in cheek
Acacia is really starting to discover her mouth, tongue in particular she's starting to spit make noise with her tongue, cheek, and throat. She's becoming quite vocal. For a while she went through a stage where she would growl at us, then roar, and now spit. I just love seeing her "discover" herself, it makes me realize how complex the human body is and how many motor skills we possess.

Today
So today Acacia rolled over for the first time! I'm so excited, she's growing so fast, pretty soon it will be sitting up. Kind of sad because she's not going to be a baby forever, but also very excited!

So maybe I was wrong
Ok so maybe I was wrong about Acacia not being interested in solids. Me and Jordan were watching TV and eating popcorn when I felt little Acacia's hand grab mine, she was reaching for the popcorn in my hand. Then she proceeded to grab for the popcorn bag all the while she was mimicking our chewing motions and smaking her lips. It was so weird, cute, but weird she's acting less and less like a newborn everyday.
Development
Today Acacia had her 4 mo. check up. She is 15 lbs. 25.5 in. long. So she is in the 90th percentile for height and 50-75th percentile for weight. She has doubled her weight since she was born and grown 4 1/2 in. I can't believe how fast she is growing! The doctor is saying that I can already start introducing solids such as rice cereal, barley cereal etc. But I think I will hold off until she seems interested in solids so she can continue to consume the nutritious breast milk as long as possible. And I don't think I'll start off with grain cereals, I will probably start her off on soft foods like applesauce, sweet potatoes, pureed carrots, avo. etc. Also I read that she has a tongue thrust reflex until 6 mo. of age that would cause some problems with eating solids. Anyway she just doesn't seem interested yet so I will wait a bit longer. It really amazes me how fast she is developing, I know everyone says they grow so fast but I never really understood how fast until now.
